Catching Up

It seems to me that I go through spurts of creativity, times when I want to write down every thought in my head. This is one of those times. I recently watched "Julie and Julia" for the second time. For those unfamiliar with this film, the main character, Julie, decides to work her way through Julia Child's cookbook in a year and write a blog about her successes and failures.

I have decided, for the umpteenth time, to try writing a blog. The first few entries will probably make little sense, as they were written over the course of a year. They are my original attempts at a blog, and were written for more than one. My hope is to keep them all together in one place, to find some sense of cohesion.

That being said, here is the first entry into my blog experience:

A quote from h2Ocrzy, 6/13/09

I started reading some of the blogs posted on here this morning, and one in particular caught my eye. It was written by h2Ocrzy, and here is the first paragraph:

"Looking up the definition of the word 'blog', I discovered it to mean 'a posting of text and photos made accessible for all the world to see.' A collection of your thoughts on what ever subject that may be on your mind that particular day. Hoping that it may enlighten, entertain or maybe inform the reader."

I have various snippets from my life posted on other sites, most of which I’ve forgotten about. The “collection of [my] thoughts on whatever subject” made me realize that scattered thoughts don’t make a collection. So I will do my best to keep my thoughts organized, in one place, and, hopefully, a little bit enlightening and entertaining.
