A Peaceful Oasis
I find it interesting that just two days ago, Ken (the guy I'm living with) was remembering the walk we took to Cataract Falls and said he wants to go again. That walk is the subject of today's post.
Ken and I went for a walk in one of the local metroparks last night, and
discovered the tallest waterfall in Cuyahoga
County. Cataract Falls is
located on Mill Stream, which runs from the east side of Cleveland and
eventually ends up in the Cuyahoga River (yes, the one that burned) and then
Lake Erie. These falls are small by Niagara
standards; they are 48 feet tall. But to find them on a summer evening, when
there’s no one else around, in the middle of a busy city, was like finding our
own little oasis.
